When Harry Potter vanquished Lord Voldemort the whole world took a breath of relief and settled down to reside in this new place where peace rained instead of pain and it was once more safe to step outside the confines of their homes. For years the entire world was bright and sunny around the people that resided inside the wizarding world. The heroes of the war grew steadily older, taking jobs, starting families and enjoying the years they had earned so many times over. Minister of Magic passed hands many times through various people, Harry himself, Kingsley Shaklebolt, and Arthur Weasley until they finally found someone that stayed in term for more than a few years, his name was Michael Corner and he was a much trusted leader, and everything continued in the vain it had done for so many years.

Now the year is 2021 and unfortunately that peace hasn’t lasted, for a new Dark Lord has risen from the ashes to take over the reins left untended by Voldemort, and his name? William Harper. A minor character during his years at Hogwarts but so cold hearted that people swore he could freeze people alive with his eyes alone. Now this new threat was the first time that Minister Corner found his position in any hot water and thankfully he dealt with it a lot better than his predecessor had in the last war. Instead of hiding from the truth he confronted it head on, or as far as he could. He reformed departments, he gave extra power to his law enforcement team, he hired the best Aurors in the business to simply stick to this one new threat like glue, but this was still not enough. Hence the reason Corner had no choice, and called in Harry Potter once more. However the older man declined the chance to play the hero again and merely said he would help in anyway that would not put himself, or any other member of his family at risk. The boy-who-lived was tired of fighting and he just didn’t want the aggravation of being the headhunter in another war.

He did however reform an organisation that could offer the help the Minister had requested, only this time with Government money to stand behind it. The Order of the Phoenix was once more reborn from the ashes, drawing back old and new members alike. They began work recruiting, and working as hard as they could to bring down this new threat before he became more than just a threat, but they weren’t successful and three weeks after this reformation William Harper took his first public blood, in the form of a muggleborn wizard of about eighty years old. There was no reason for this target, but it got publicity and that was all Harper wanted, to bring the fear he needed. Fear was enough to turn a well-organised world upside down and create chaos, and that was what it did. Harper watched gleefully as people ran around like headless chickens, items for protection began to be sold once more in knockturn alley, children were taken out of Hogwarts, and security was stepped up on everything. A third war had begun between the light and dark sides of magic and a saviour is nowhere to be seen, that was until a prophecy was found at the very back shelf of the hall of prophecies. Someone nudged the shelf it was on and it toppled, smashing on the floor and relaying its message to the ready listener, Hermione Weasley.

”The fate of peace and war has once more become a question. The power of a group unknown will bring about the change using skill and strength alone. Yet these children of the darkest nights, and heroes never fallen shall not know their future until they face it there. They are led and work under emerald eyes, of a girl with wasted fire, her head is filled with questions but her heart will light this pyre.”

Hermione ran to the nearest pensieve in amazement, placing her wand to her temple. A silver sliver was drawn from her mind and she allowed it to fall into the water, so that she could view the memory again and again, before finally alerting the Minister. Suddenly the world had hope as Corner brought in the best brains of the new generation to work through the puzzle, and Hermione was at the head. It took a few months to decipher any meaning until finally wisdom was supplied by Minerva McGonagall who had only just been alerted to this new piece of evidence much to her annoyance. Her mind flicked through the many options before she finally settled on one that was the most obvious. Well of course it was the Order and the emerald eyes were Harry’s! But then this idea was shot down by the next sentence, the mentioning of a girl. Minerva returned to her office at Hogwarts with the text before her, and she stared at it for hours. It seemed as if three weeks had passed but really it had only been 8 hours when a tentative knock came at the door. “Come in!” Called the Headmistress as she sat back in her chair and hid the scroll in the nearest draw. The young woman that floated into the room was one Skylar Darcy and one glance at her face and Minerva felt a hand grip her heart in realisation. It wasn’t the Order that prophecy had been talking of; it was the DA, led by none other than the young lady in front of her.

Now that the prophecy has been deciphered the adults had a decision to make, whether or not to tell the members of the DA that they were to have such an important role in the war, and hopefully in its victory. Precautions have been stepped up around the castle and tension is growing as the slytherin’s grow happier and happier with the state of the world outside, finally maybe them and their families will see the glory they so deserve. The Headmistress is taking great care not to let anything of the prophecy slip to the students of the school, deciding it would be best left under wraps until Skylar and her friends are older. A war is raging and everyone must play his or her part. The death eaters are growing in numbers every day under their new ruler and families are being ripped apart as the seams as people go ‘missing’ under the mark of that dreadful green light. The dark mark was adopted by Harper with pride and every time someone dies under his command he looks happily on as it shoots into the sky above their roof or work.
